PASSION FOR HUMANITARIAN SERVICES: THE LADY THAT DRIVES THE PROCESS….


Last week I visited  my dear sister and an Ambassador - Virgy Ifeadiro - the Executive Director Ifehs Ngo - Initiative For Food, Environment and Health Society at her Karu office in Abuja. IFEHS work with people at grassroots to define their Agriculture and Livelihood, Environment, Health and Society challenges and design strategies to address them. They also work with the government at policy level to influence policies that affect Agriculture and Livelihood, Environment, Health of the people- Fixing the Both Ends.
IFEHS is positioned in Nigeria to implement sustainable development projects with the government, international donors, funders, non-governmental organizations and the community focusing on Social inclusion, Voice and accountability.
Virginia Ifeadiro - a humble, passionate and kind-hearted Lady is an expert in Gender/vulnerable group, social development, humanitarian assistance and poverty alleviation. She has extensive public and private sector experience with over 8 years of practice in International and national organizations. She has developed training programs aimed at empowering women, children and youths through skills, information and capacity building.
She is an expert in organizational development and passionate about women, children and youth. (The vulnerable group).
A graduate Soil and Water Engineering from Federal University of Technology Owerri, {FUTO} Nigeria, she is a Member Institute of Chartered Trustee Nigeria and has received several awards; Parishioner of honour 2008 by St Mary’s Catholic Church Karu, Abuja Nigeria, Daughter of Millennium 2000 by Nawfija Community in Anambra State. She equally has so many published and unpublished articles to her credit.
Her mission is to empower women, children and youth for self sustainability and influence policies that affect them also to promote individual, secular philanthropy for development in Nigeria.
We discussed extensively on the skill acquisition program of IFEHS where cloth making, tailoring, fashion design and other related projects were being carried out. She loves fashion and was thrilled by the numerous designs from Kanti Fashion - a member of Parshvanath Printex {India} Pvt. Ltd. Virgy is sincerely passionate about this project and has immediately endorsed her participation in the 2019 Intex South Asia.
